I am running for Congress, to be a voice for working families. I have been a relentless voice for working families in the New Hampshire House, and I will bring the same values, commitment and passion to Washington.

During the past decade, families have found their wages losing pace with the cost of living. At the same time,  average Americans have seen the cost of fuel, food and health care increasing. While the wealthiest Americans have seen large tax cuts, working families have seen their costs go up and up. No longer are working families working to get ahead, today, they are working to survive.

I have been fighting for others my entire adult life. Whether as a social worker, a firefighter or a State Representative, I have always stood up for others. As a professional fire fighter, I know the struggles of working families. As a State Representative, I know the impact that legislation has on working families. This unique perspective enables me to be the best advocate for New Hampshire's working families. 

The United States was built on the backs of hard working Americans, and my support for working families has never wavered. During 8 years in the NH House I have not voted for working families, but I have often led the debate on behalf of working families. I will bring the same leadership, passion and commitment to my work as your Congressman. 

The only promise I make to you is that I will always be available to you and will listen to you. Perhaps most importantly, I will always remember that I represent you, and not lobbyists for special interests.
