Like all young boys, John and his dad chased firetrucks around their neighborhood. John pursued other career options, until he moved to New Hampshire. When he had an opportunity to work with his local fire department, the passion to become a firefighterwas back. John took steps to become a firefighter. After testing for numerous departments, John was hired by the Concord Fire Department on 9/9/1995. He has worked as a Concord Firefighter for the past 14+ years.

John is currently assigned to the Manor Fire Station, where he has spent much of his career. John has been active in the community, volunteering for the Muscular Dystrophy Association, the Boys and Girls Club and to donate Christmas Dinner to  local families.

In 1998, John received a Unit Citation for his role in extinguishing a fire at 57 Centre Street in Concord.
