The 2nd District is the larger of New Hampshire's two Congressional Districts, encompassing part of 8 of New Hampshire's 10 counties. The district spans the Great North Woods, the White Mountains and Franconia Notch, the Connecticut and Merrimack River valleys as well as much of southern New Hampshire. Some of the towns included in this district are Salem, Nashua, Peterborough, Keene, Claremont, Lebanon, Littleton, Berlin, Colebrook, Plymouth, Franklin and Concord.
